Manchester United ‘concerned by Marcus Rashford form’

Manchester United have become concerned over the form of their forward Marcus Rashford this season, according to a report.
Like his employers, the 24-year-old has endured a tough 2021-22 season up to this point, managing just five goals in all competitions.

In order to compete at the 2020 European Championship with England last summer, Rashford put his required shoulder surgery on hold, and instead underwent the procedure following the conclusion of the tournament.

As a result, the United forward did not feature for the Red Devils until October, and despite netting three goals in his first four games following his return, the academy product has struggled to replicate his success of recent years.

Now according to ESPN, the Old Trafford side are becoming increasingly worried over the forward’s lack of an impact in matches, with one source claiming he has a habit of “becoming a ghost”.

Rashford’s struggles have led to rumours of a possible move away from the club in the summer, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona being linked with a move.

Meanwhile, Rashford missed out on England’s latest squad for the upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast, and so will return to action when United face Leicester City on April 2.
